Dr. Mamoon Iqbal BA , DDS

Dr. Mamoon Iqbal graduated from the prestigious Half Hollow Hills H.S. East in Dix Hills, N.Y. During his secondary education, Dr. Mamoon was a National Merit Scholar as well as a member of the National Honor Society. Dr. Iqbal placed first in Long Island and sixth in the nation in the National Spanish Exam.

After graduating in the top five percent of the class, Dr. Iqbal was accepted as one of a handful of students to the prestigious seven-year combined accelerated B.A.-D.D.S. program in the College of Arts and Sciences at New York University. During his educational career, Dr. Mamoon did laboratory research at the Department of Biochemistry at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. ​Dr. Mamoon volunteered in various clinics and hospitals and had first-hand dental experience from a young age working under the tutelage of his father. While in dental school, Dr. Mamoon completed rotations in various hospitals and was one of the top producers in his clinic. After graduating from the New York University College of Dentistry in 2004, Dr. Mamoon went straight into practice. Dr. Mamoon has a great zeal for further education and has completed a two-year training course with the United States Dental Institute in the field of orthodontics for children and adults. Dr. Mamoon has also completed sub-specialty training at the Implant Surgery and Prosthetic Continuing Education Course at the Rosenthal Institute at the New York University College of Dentistry from 2005 to 2007. He has logged extensive hours of clinical and didactic training concentrated in the placement and restoration of implants. Following the course, Dr. Mamoon became a fellow in good standing with the International College of Oral Implantology (ICOI). He is currently working on his diplomate. Dr. Iqbal also served one year as a clinical associate at the implant program at NYUCD. Dr. Mamoon also has completed training courses at the Nobel Biocare Center in Mahwah, New Jersey. Dr. Mamoon has introduced the latest techniques into his practice such as the Simplant computer-aided Implant placement tool. He is ever striving to give his patients quality care for a healthy smile that would last a lifetime. In his free time, Dr. Mamoon is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys fishing and hunting. He also enjoys reading and traveling and spending time with his family.
